Private Christmas Party

To be short, they are spectacular. The food is delicious. The staff is professional. And, the service is second to none. I find that the venue is often cleaner after the event. I can't sing their praises enough. It doesn't hurt that their prices are reasonable. Finally, as an indication of quality, I selected them over a very popular caterer in my area with whom I have personal affiliations. I know that the other caterers are bigger and offered a competitive price. However, my prior experiences with A Cut Above were so positive that I would have chosen them even if their prices were higher. Call me personally if you have additional questions. Otherwise, enjoy your event.

City of Frederick Day

Rave reviews were the general consensus among the State of Maryland Legislators for "City of Frederick Day in Annapolis 2007". The event was enjoyed by all and the food, provided by A Cut Above Catering, was heard to be outstanding, particularly the Maryland Crab Soup. Comments could be heard throughout the event on the presentation of the luncheon and the professionalism of the staff.

Corporate Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

I would like to thank you for your outstanding management and catering in support of the May 8th, Keenan/Chevron dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Central Utility Plant (CUP) at Fort Detrick. Everyone to whom I have spoken, including our president and Colonel Deutsch, has raved about your set-up, presentation, food quality and, of course, the crab balls. Bravo to you, le Chef and your staff! I was also very impressed with the quality, variation and quantity of the floral arrangements and how they were coordinated with your catering presentation and set-up in the tent. I'd also like to thank you for helping me to select, secure and manage all of the vendors, including Totally Tents, Minuteman Printers and A Personal Touch Photography. I thought that all of them did an exceptional job in delivering on-time and high-quality services....and all very nice, professional people, too. You are welcome to use me as a reference in the future. I'm sure we will do business again! Please pass on my gratitude to Carol, as well; I wish her a speedy and full recovery.

Corporate Open House

The folks at A Cut Above did a terrific job of transforming our bank office into a reception hall for our grand opening. Everything from the setup to the take-down was exemplarily. And, of course, the food was so good that it kept people there well past the closing time so they could continue to enjoy. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Wedding

When our daughter and her fiancé decided that they wanted to be married in Maryland rather than the San Francisco Bay Area where she had grown up and where we live, we were very nervous about planning a wedding at that distance for 125 guests. Nervous that is - until we met Carol and Chef Francis. The catering decisions were easy. We had some vague ideas, but with Carol’s help, the food decisions fell into place. Should we do beef or seafood or ask guests to make the decision? No problem! Just do a little of both. What about flowers, the cake, wines? Carol provided excellent referrals. These vendors were willing to work with us from a distance via email or the telephone. Carol worked with the bride on so many details that we were confident the event would be beautiful – and it was!
